Vanilla Bean Creme Bruleé

I enjoy creme brûlée a lot, esp when it's made fresh from my oven! The crispy, caramelized topping with that creamy custard is just so yummy! Learn how to make this easy dessert!


Recipe:
3 egg yolks
1/8 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup heavy cream (if you don't have enough, use some half and half!)
1 vanilla bean
1/4 cup sugar (I used a tad less cuz I like it less sweet)
1/2 tablespoon sugar for caramelized topping


Step 1: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Heat your heavy cream up until boiling point


Step 2: Mix rest of ingredients together

Step 3: Pour the heated heavy cream over the egg mixture SLOWLY (so it doesn't scramble the eggs)


Step 4: Pour in little ramekins and pour hot water into the baking dish

Step 5: Bake the custard for 35 minutes until it looks like this! Let cool completely, then use 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar and sprinkle it over the custard and burn it with a kitchen torch and you are DONEEE!
